AutoVerse: VR & WebGL Automotive Simulator
AutoVerse is a definitive automotive simulation platform that transcends traditional car configuration. Utilizing the high-fidelity rendering power of Unity’s High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), we created a “digital twin” showroom where the line between virtual and reality blurs completely.
The Virtual Test Drive
Why just look when you can drive? AutoVerse integrates a physics-based driving engine, allowing users to not only configure their dream car but to take it for a spin on virtual tracks, testing suspension and handling characteristics from their home.
Challenge & Solution
The Challenge: Dealerships are limited by physical inventory; they can never display every color, trim, and option. Customers are forced to order high-value items based on 2cm paint chips and static brochure images. Furthermore, scheduling test drives is time-consuming and often limited to a block around the dealership.
The Solution: We engineered AutoVerse, a unified simulation platform that delivers showroom-quality visuals to VR headsets and optimized 3D experiences to web browsers.
Studio Quality Detail
In VR, customers step into a 1:1 scale vehicle. Ray-traced reflections, volumetric lighting, and high-res textures allow them to inspect the stitching on the leather and the sparkle in the metallic paint.
Immersion:
- Seated VR support for realistic interior feel
- Interactive doors, trunks, and infotainment systems
- Day/Night cycle visualization
Final Result
AutoVerse has revolutionized the pre-sales process, allowing the client to sell vehicles that haven’t even been manufactured yet.
1,200 Pre-Orders
The campaign secured over 1,200 vehicle pre-orders solely through the Virtual Showroom experience, months before physical models were available.
95% Visual Fidelity
Focus groups rated the VR visuals as 95% indistinguishable from the real vehicle, validating the use of Unity HDRP for marketing.
200k Test Drives
Users completed over 200,000 virtual test drives, generating millions of data points on customer preference and behavior.
AutoVerse proves that in the modern automotive world, the best showroom is the one that exists everywhere.
