TechNest: Virtual Startup Incubator
TechNest is a “Digital Silicon Valley”—a persistent virtual campus where geography is no longer a barrier to funding. Built on Unity and accessible via WebGL, it provides a 24/7 3D environment where startups can maintain virtual booths, VCs can scout talent, and mentors can host fireside chats without a plane ticket.
Networking without Borders
Great ideas are everywhere; opportunity is not. TechNest levels the playing field, giving a founder in Lagos the same access to Sand Hill Road investors as a founder in Palo Alto, all through a browser link.
Challenge & Solution
Challenge: The startup world is notoriously exclusive and location-dependent. Physical demo days are expensive to host and attend. During the pandemic, Zoom pitch events proved to be awkward and lacked the “serendipitous encounters” that drive real deal flow.
Solution: We built TechNest, a spatial networking platform.
Virtual Booths
Startups can customize their own 3D office space within the TechNest tower. They can upload pitch decks to interactive screens, display 3D product prototypes, and have their avatars present to visitors in real-time.
Impact:
- Persistent brand presence
- Interactive product demos
- 24/7 global accessibility
Final Result
TechNest is fostering a truly global innovation layer.
500+ Funded Deals
Startups on the platform have successfully raised over $50M in seed funding directly from connections made in the virtual world.
90% Global Reach
90% of the active user base is outside of major tech hubs, proving the platform's ability to decentralize access to capital.
15K Avatars
The community has grown to 15,000 active monthly users, establishing TechNest as the largest virtual co-working space for founders.
This project demonstrates that in the metaverse, innovation has no zip code.
